Meet me at the hotel room, not.
Flyyyying off to Bangkok with AT this Sat! Am so sooo excited :D Some of you have been asking me on formspring abt hotel recommendations in Bkk. So I'm sharing 2 of the hotels that I will be staying at for this coming trip :) I tend to get fussy and finicky when it comes to accommodations. I dont really have a budget, as long as it's reasonable, Im okay! To me, there's these 3 factors that I'll always when booking a hotel room. Cleanliness is the most important of all! IM DEAD SERIOUS. I cannot stand hotels with odor. Worse, yellowish stains on bathtubs/bedsheets. Location have to be populated. Cannot be some ulu ulu place like dark alleys wts. Might not be in the heart of town, but well, must be easily accessible. Looks. Im a sucker for boutique hotels. It makes me happy when I wake up to a beautiful room or walk into a nice lobby after a long day. ![]() Last Christmas, I booked a room at Riverview Hotel to countdown with my girlfs. For some reasons, we're totally undemanding at that point of time, everyone very chin chai. Our only criteria: It have to be in town/Clarke Quay. ![]() BUT WE'RE SO WRONG. THE HOTEL WAS DISGUSTINGLY UNPLESANT. When I first enter the room, there is this "damp/moist" carpet smell which is comparable to a pri 5 kid's PE shirt. The entire night, I cant stop whining abt the sticky carpets and smelly toilet (like public toilet) I had to call the reception to bring up room-fresheners for us, but it doesnt help much. ALSO, the swimming pool tiles are yellowish grrrz I'll never neverrr go back to Riverview Hotel anymore, unless they revamp the entire hotel or smth. Such bad experience pfffft :( *** Nowwwww if you're going Bkk, here's two of my hotel recommendations!! B U D A C C O This boutique hotel is pretty in pink; O' joy!! All you pink lovers, expect yourself to be in awe when you stop into Budacco. As a pink lover, I was squealing away when I first stepped into the lobby hahaha I like the fact that Budacco lies in the heart of Pratunam. It is a super plus point bcos in just less than 30 steps out of the hotel, its a bustling street :) The hotel is situated at the end of a small alley. But fret not, its very safe there!! ![]() OUR VERY CLEAN, VERY PRETTY ROOM. Feels so much like home! Besides hot pink rooms, they offer a few other neon colors like blue, green, yellow, purple etc The last trip was with bff. Lobby pink, room also pink. Everything pinkkkkk!! For this trip, I specially left a comment that I prefer a blue/green room. Talk about variations haha ![]() Also, the hotel staffs are veryveryvery friendly and helpful, like seriously very nice to us wts. Bff & me are are so guilty bcos we forgot to tip them before we left :'( I MUST REMEMBER TO TIP THEM THIS TRIP! trollface.jpg M Y S T I C P L A C E I haven't stayed at this hotel before but after doing my hmk, I think I should give it a try. SO YES! I'm spending my first two nights there this weekend :D In fact, I'm pretty much sold to the hotel the moment I saw photos of the rooms. Labels: Bangkok
